Therapy animal manager
I have long had an affinity with animals, and recognised their therapeutic benefit from a young age. I have always felt connected with them and observed the soothing effect of their mere presence on a variety of people struggling with everyday occupational related stressors and even common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
I have since been working in partnership with TAAUK to develop innovative, safe and effective therapeutic approaches with animals. I am responsible for the provision of Animal-Assisted Interventions, and the everyday management and welfare of the animals. I work together with TAAUK healthcare professionals to support the provision of formal Animal-Assisted-Therapy and I am currently pursuing a range of more specialised mental health and autism training to broaden my competencies as an animal therapy practitioner. I am a certified camelid dynamics trainer.
